Lake Washington Technical College Opts to Continue Parent Ed Program

Redmond Toddler Group says classes will go on as planned this fall and into next year.

A recent decision by to continue funding parent education programs around the Eastside means (RTG) will be able to continue offering its usual classes this fall and into next year, according to a message from RTG President Amy Johnson that is posted on the organization's website.

According to Johnson, the college will continue to fund RTG's 1-credit lecture program, but the organization might need to raise tuition in order to pay for the lab portion of its offerings, which will no longer be funded by LWTC.

"Tuition may go up slightly, and we may be increasing our fundraising efforts, but with the affiliation with LWTC intact, we can continue with viable options," Johnson said on the website.
