“Dr. Woodall cared deeply for our college family, the community, our business partners, and, above all, our students,” said LWIT Board of Trustees Chair Bruce J. Reid. “We planned this service around the first week of the fall quarter as it would only be fitting that our students be offered the opportunity to join our faculty, staff, and surrounding community in celebrating Dr. Woodall’s life.”

As Dr. Woodall believed passionately in involving LWIT students at every turn, students from LWIT’s Funeral Service Education, Environmental Horticulture, Culinary Arts, and Multimedia Design & Production programs are planning and conducting the service.

Additionally, the Lake Washington College Foundation created the Dr. David Woodall Vision Fund for those wishing to make a donation in Dr. Woodall's name. The Foundation's decision to create and name this fund stems directly from Dr. Woodall's passionate vision for the college, community, and LWIT students. Money in this fund will be used to help realize those visions he shared with us, including increasing scholarship support for LWIT students.

To donate, please visit the Foundation’s website at lwtech.edu/Foundation and click on ‘Donate.’ Once on the donation page, type in "The Dr. David Woodall Vision Fund" in the 'Purpose' box and the donation will go toward that fund.
