Parents Can Weigh in on Rosa Parks Temporary Boundary Change

An open house is planned for Thursday, Nov. 29, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Parents have a chance to voice their opinions on options for the planned temporary boundary adjustment between Rosa Parks Elementary School in Redmond and Wilder Elementary School in Woodinville.

An open house is set for Thursday, Nov. 29, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Evergreen Middle School, 6900 208th Ave. N.E.

Here are details from the temporary boundary committee:

You are invited to an open house to weigh in on the options for the temporary boundary adjustment  between Rosa Parks Elementary School and Wilder Elementary School for the school years from 2013-14 through 2015-16. The temporary boundary committee has reviewed the enrollment projections and developed several alternatives. The open house will take place at Evergreen Middle School on Thursday, November 29, between 6:30 and 8:00 p.m.

At the open house, parents will be able to view large maps showing the specific scenarios, learn about each one and provide feedback. Written feedback forms will be available. There will not be a formal presentation: come and view the scenarios any time during the open house that is convenient for you. Committee members will be available to answer questions and take your feedback.

Parents who cannot attend will be able to see the maps online and download a feedback form beginning Friday, Nov. 30. Forms are due in to your school by December 10.

RASP is a wonderful group of writers from all walks of Redmond life. They hold an open mic on theRead More last Friday of every month at the Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center. Not only do they have featured readers like Kathleen, but the open mic portion encourages anyone from the community to read their work. It's regularly quite good. All those with a hunger to get their work out in the world should attend.
