VIEWFINDER: Nearly 500 Graduate From Redmond High School

Graduates from Redmond High School's class of 2012 celebrated their commencement on June 19 at the Key Arena.

Close to 500 seniors from graduated on June 19 at the Key Arena. 

Both the Redmond High School band and the choir performed during the ceremony. 

Senior Taylor Stutz performed the national anthem and student speaker Rebecca Ballantyne delivered a commencement speech.

Ballantyne will attend the University of Pennsylvania in the fall to study law and history.

"Redmond High School has the best geeks, musicians and athletes," she said. "To speak incorrectly, we done real good."
