Redmond HS Orchestra Hosts Benefit Concert With Microsoft Musicians

The Friday event is a fundraiser for the students' upcoming trip to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

The Redmond High School orchestra and Microsoft orchestra are joining forces in a benefit concert this Friday evening to raise money for the students' upcoming trip to perform at Carnegie Hall.

The event will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the Redmond High School Performing Arts Center, 17272 NE 104th St. A special dessert sale will also be held.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students/seniors. They can be purchased at the door or in advance through Brown Paper Tickets.

The RHS orchestra will travel to New York City this spring to perform at Carnegie Hall on March 31. Visit the Redmond Orchestra Boosters website for more information and to see videos of the young musicians in action.

RASP is a wonderful group of writers from all walks of Redmond life. They hold an open mic on theRead More last Friday of every month at the Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center. Not only do they have featured readers like Kathleen, but the open mic portion encourages anyone from the community to read their work. It's regularly quite good. All those with a hunger to get their work out in the world should attend.
