is looking for a new boys' basketball coach following the resignation of coach Jeff Larson.
Larson has accepted an offer to become assistant principal position at RHS during the 2012-2013 school year, which requires him to resign his coaching post, according to an email from athletic director John Appelgate.
"While RHS is excited to have Jeff join the administrative team, his leadership of the basketball program will be greatly missed," Appelgate wrote.
Larson, currently a math teacher, has been head coach of the team for eight years. During that time, he has led the team to the state tournament two times—including a fifth-place finish in 2009—and compiled a 95-93 record.
RHS will begin searching for a new coach immediately, according to Appelgate. Anyone interested in the position should apply online at lwsd.org and send a resume and cover letter to Appelgate at email@example.com.
