Wanted: 'Whiz Kids' Nominees From Redmond

This regular feature is a tip of the hat to Redmond students who have done something special or extraordinary.

The school year for students in Redmond is right arund the corner, with classes in the beginning next Tuesday, Sept. 6.

So, with the start of the new school year, Redmond Patch would like to note that the "Whiz Kids" feature will return on a regular basis. The feature honors young people who have accomplished a special goal or helped a neighbor, classmate or the city.

To get an idea of the talented young people that have been featured in the "Whiz Kids" columns, have a look at . They include an 8-year-old chess master, a boy who completed a cross-state bike ride and a young artist whose character drawing was selected for a Microsoft video game.
