Cricket Fans Head to Microsoft to Watch India Win World Cup

About 1,000 people gathered in Redmond to watch the match, which began at 2 a.m. Saturday.

About 1,000 people gathered at Microsoft in the wee hours of Saturday morning to watch India defeat Sri Lanka in the final round of the cricket world cup.

As GeekWire reported, the crowd watched the live action on three projector screens in a Microsoft cafeteria. A YouTube video shows fans erupting in cheers as India secured the victory.
