The Big Backyard 5K is a fundraising event for King County Parks held at Marymoor Park.
The 5K, open to runners, walkers, dogs and strollers, begins at 9 a.m. and will be followed by a free kids' dash at 9:45 a.m. will perform after the running events.
Last year, approximately 1,300 race participants brought in nearly $50,000 for the parks system.
