The City of Redmond will host its first-ever "Great Day of Play" Aug. 19, and event organizers say the event will be all about getting outside and having fun.
The Great Day of Play will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. at . Some of the highlights include a youth 3-on-3 basketball tournament, 5K run and skateboard demonstrations, along with a special appearance by Seattle Sounders player Steve Zakuani.
Admission to the event is free; the entry fee for the run is $30 in advance or $35 day-of. The fee for the basketball tournament is $75 per team.
