Sign your son up for this year's RHS Boys Basketball Camp, June 26-29, 9 a.m. to noon. The program is open to incoming (2012-2013) 3rd-8th graders.

Hosted by , the new RHS Head Boys Basketball Coach. Coach Lund will be introducing youth ballers to the "Mustang Family." RHS Varsity players will be on-hand to assist instruction.

This camp is a major fundraiser for the RHS Boys Basketball program and is co-sponsored by the Redmond Select Boy's Basketball (RSBB) program. Many of you may already know Brian from Redmond Select basketball, as he helped assist Coach Carlson with the 2011-12 5th grade team. Brian was a 1991 RHS graduate and former Mustang basketball star:  he was a three-year letterman during his playing days and was part of three state-tournament teams.

Brian started the 2011-12 season as an assistant coach at LWHS but took over head-coaching duties mid-season. At LWHS, he led the Kangaroos to
22-7 record and a fourth-place finish in the Class 3A state tournament. Now is our opportunity to welcome him to Redmond and show Redmond Select's support for our new coach! Let's fill up the camp—registration Form is attached or available online at redmondselect.com.

Coach Lund's team motto is "Once Family, Always Family." He believes family is the most important thing in life; a family that should watch out for one another on and off the court. He believes in academic excellence, and will strive for each student to go above and beyond the standard academic requirements for athletic participation. He will be introducing a "Green and Gold Special Forces"(GGSF), inviting parents to help create, teach, and build the family atmosphere throughout the
program. He will request RHS ballers to get involved and interact with the Redmond Select program, encouraging them to attend games and practices. Brian's goal for Redmond High School basketball is to be known as a "First Class" program on and off the court.

Be sure to register your son(s) for the 2012 camp—family discounts are available. (Registration form attached.)

RASP is a wonderful group of writers from all walks of Redmond life. They hold an open mic on theRead More last Friday of every month at the Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center. Not only do they have featured readers like Kathleen, but the open mic portion encourages anyone from the community to read their work. It's regularly quite good. All those with a hunger to get their work out in the world should attend.
