Redmond Native Takes All-Around in International Gymnastics Competition
Madison Podlucky, a future UW-gymnast, took first place in the all-around at the Copa Quetzal Competition, Guatemala's biggest meet of the year.
Redmond native Madison Podlucky recently won the all-around in gymnastics at the Copa Quetzal Competition in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
Podlucky, who attends Inglemoor High School, took the all-around with a score of 38.10 at the event, which is the biggest yearly gymnastics meet in Guatemala. Podlucky also took the floor competition with a score of 9.70 and the vault with a 9.40. She placed second on the bars with a 9.65.
Podlucky is the defending Washington State Champion and signed a letter of intent in November to attend the University of Washington on a gymnastics scholarship. Podlucky will be one of six incoming freshman joining a program that spent most of last season ranked in top-20 nationally.
