Redmond, Overlake and Lake Sammamish Lacrosse All Post Wins This Week

Here are some highlights from high school lacrosse in the Redmond area.

Redmond, Lake Sammamish and Overlake all competed in high school lacrosse matches this week. Here are some of the highlights.

Stankey hat trick leads Redmond boys past Mt. Si

Harrison Stankey netted a hat trick to lead Redmond to its fifth win of the season Wednesday with a 9–1 boys' high school lacrosse defeat of Mt. Si at .

Redmond spread its offense around, as Stankey was among seven Redmond players to find the net. Nico Shewey came up big in the nets with 13 saves and a team-leading 10 ground balls. For Mt. Si, Henry Owens scored the lone goal and Beau Bachand grabbed 8 ground balls.

Redmond (5-2-0) next faces Klahowya (6-2-0) at 7 p.m. Saturday at Redmond High School.

Keogh nets 5 as Eastlake dominates Overlake in lacrosse

Midfielder Patrick Keogh scored a season high 5 goals to lead Eastlake to a 13–2 boys' high school lacrosse defeat of Overlake on Wednesday at Eastlake High School in Sammamish. The win was the third straight for Eastlake and seventh of the season.

Eastlake took a narrow 3–2 lead in the first before dominating the contest from the second quarter on with 10 unanswered goals.

Brian Quick contributed to Eastlake’s scoring onslaught with 3 goals and Zach Shute had 2.  Avery Harkins had 7 saves in the nets.  For Overlake, Colton Umberger netted both Owl goals and goaltender Nick Evans had 9 saves.

Grubb’s 5 goals leads Overlake past Lake Sammamish

Grace Grubb scored 5 goals to lead Overlake to its sixth win of the season with a 15–10 girls' high school lacrosse win over Lake Sammamish on Wednesday at in Redmond.

The win was the second straight for the Owls since dropping their only contest of the season, a 12–10 defeat to Forest Ridge on March 25. Overlake pushed to a 6–4 halftime lead before breaking free with 9 second-half goals to take the win.

Sarah Silverman had 3 goals and Katie Hill had 2 to compliment the Owls’ scoring.  Marlena Masterleo netted 3 goals to lead Lake Sammamish.

Overlake (6-1-0) next faces Evergreen (1-6-0) at 1 p.m. Saturday at Vancouver’s McKenzie Stadium. Lake Sammamish (5-3-0) next faces Wenatchee (2-5-0), at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Redmond’s Marymoor Park.

Clements nets 5 to lead Lake Sammamish past Bellevue

Allison Clements scored 5 goals to lead Lake Sammamish to a 22–5 girls' high school lacrosse win over Bellevue on Thursday at Bellevue High School. The win was the fifth of the year for Lake Sammamish. 

In a game that was all but done in the first, Lake Sammamish jumped out to a 15–2 lead by the intermission before cruising with 7 more goals in the second.

Claire Monsaas, Kate Wagner, Zoe Escarda and Kaitlyn Chirichingno all had hat tricks for Lake Sammamish in the win. Bellevue’s Conley Nemyre netted 3 goals and Dominique Hiejer and Loren Chorlton each had a goal.

Lake Sammamish (5-2-0) next faces Roosevelt (2-6-0) at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Marymoor Park.
