The popular Lake Sammamish Half Marathon returns to the East Lake Sammamish Trail Saturday, with hundreds of runners and walkers trekking 13.1 miles from Marymoor Park in Redmond to Lake Sammamish State Park in Issaquah.

The sold-out event is now in its fourth year and is put on by 4th Dimension Racing. Last year's top male and female finishers were Robert Thayer of Portland, Ore., with a time of 1 hour, 12 minutes, and Sheila Croft of Redmond with a time of 1:17. Unlike last year, the weather should cooperate for Saturday's runners. The forecast currently calls for sunny skies and a daytime high of 51.
