Update: Boston Marathon Explosions – 7 Redmond Runners Registered to Race, Tell Loved Ones You're OK

Dozens of people were injured by two explosions near the Boston marathon finish line Monday. Seven people from Redmond had reportedly signed up to run the race.

Update 2:35 p.m. Monday: Media reports say more than 100 people are being treated for injuries related to the marathon explosions. Boston police are now saying the third incident at the JFK Library is fire-related, not explosion-related.

Here is what we know about the seven Redmond runners registered for the race, according to the Boston Marathon website. All times are approximate:

  • David Cull finished the race in 3 hours 18 minutes.
  • Richard Moreno finished in 3:45.
  • Vladimir Rovinsky finished in 3:23.
  • Kirk Sall finished in 3:19.
  • Brig Seidl started the race, but stopped after running for about an hour.
  • Naor Snir finished in 3:22.
  • Mike A. Stewart finished in 3:09.

Patch does not know at this time if any of the runners were injured in the explosions.

Update 1:55 p.m. Monday: A third explosion has been reported in Boston at the JFK Library by Boston police. Initial reports say two people have reportedly died and 23 have been injured. Expect those numbers to change.

If you were in the Boylston Street area of the marathon—of if your friends and family believe you may have been in the area—you can use the Red Cross's Safe and Well site to register yourself. The site, activated by the Red Cross for the marathon explosion, allows user to search for you by name to check on your status. 

To register your name, go to the Red Cross Safe and Well site.

Dozens of people were injured by two explosions near the Boston marathon finish line Monday. There are multiple reports of victims with missing limbs, bloodied heads and other extremely serious injuries,

Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency confirms there were explosions but has not released any further details. 

According to the Boston Marathon website, seven people from Redmond were registered to run the marathon. Below is the list of Redmond people who entered. It has not been confirmed yet which of these people actually started the race Monday morning.
