The VFW Post 2995 Troop Support program is short of volunteers.

This weekend the volunteers are collecting items at the store at the following times:

•Friday 5 p.m.-8 p.m.

•Saturday 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 2 p.m.-5 p.m.

•Sunday 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 2 p.m.-5 p.m.

They are very short of volunteers for the afternoon shifts on both Saturday and Sunday.

If you have time to assist with the collections this weekend, please contact John Kenny, who runs the local VFW Troop Support Program, at Kjjkenny@aol.com

RASP is a wonderful group of writers from all walks of Redmond life. They hold an open mic on theRead More last Friday of every month at the Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center. Not only do they have featured readers like Kathleen, but the open mic portion encourages anyone from the community to read their work. It's regularly quite good. All those with a hunger to get their work out in the world should attend.
