What a load of misdirection. Sugar is not poisonous when used in moderation, just like many otherRead More substances. When the food processors are allowed to put excessive amounts into our diets then it becomes a problem, especially when it is backed up by slash-and-burn advertising campaigns aimed at our children. The influx of HFCS in our food chain is far more injurious to our health than refined sugar, and this (and other) recent "studies" and "reports" seem to trying to demonize sugar. HFCS has taken a hit lately as I see many products advertising that they do not contain HFCS. The corn lobby has to be worried about this; maybe we should take a look at who is funding the research on how "bad" refined sugar is for us?

Brian, why are you so mean-spirited? I posted something in this thread, and now I am receiving allRead More the comments you post. And it seems you are quite an angry and intolerant person. My goodness, can't people have a discussion without you throwing so much mud at them personally? March has stayed with the issues and you attack the person instead of rebutting the actual issue. And as a side, it is interesting to me that Andrew immediately rebuked Americanwhiteboy's "asshat" statement, but never once called you out for making comments that were even more "un-neighborly". How about we all stick to discussing the issues, like March, and stop all the "bait and switch" tactics.

People, please please don't confuse Sodium ( especially the kind in the above mentioned restaurantsRead More which are used as preservatives ) with the mineral table salt which is beneficial and necessary for all cell life.
