A transplant from Montana, Marilyn Hendrickson has lived in the Kirkland area since 1985. After graduating from Montana State University, she relocated to Washington where she immediately fell in love with the nature and beauty of the Northwest. In 2000, Marilyn realized that she wanted to do something more meaningful with her life, leaving her job at Boeing after 15 years to explore animal rescue and gardening. She volunteers weekly at the MEOW Cat Rescue shelter in Houghton. When she’s not up to her elbows in dirt or bottle feeding an orphaned baby kitten in the wee hours of the morning, Marilyn enjoys cooking, reading, wine tasting and spending time with friends and family. She and her husband Steve have one grown son and live in Bothell. Marilyn tries to live by her favorite quotes, one of which is: “Dwell in Possibility” – Emily Dickinson.
