Redmond Patch Is 1 Year Old Today

Redmond Patch is exactly 1 year old today.

We launched our site on Feb. 18, 2011 and immediately set out to be a reliable and engaging source for local news and information. Some of our first stories were about the Eastside Winter Shelter and a zoning change that added some flexibility for local businesses like Black Raven Brewing.

Since then, we've tackled all the top stories in Redmond, from big breaking stories involving fire, crime and weather, to the comings and goings of local shops, to articles featuring notable figures around town. 

Through it all, we've relied on you, our readers, to keep us up to date on what matters to your neighborhood. We are tremendously grateful for all the news tips, feedback (both positive and negative), and miscellaneous support we've received from the Redmond community along the way.

Today, we raise a glass to the accomplishments of the previous year and look forward to many more.
